Sun Safety

On sunny days most of us are filled with a sense of joy and well being. Our cares seem to melt away in a sea of brightness. In the far north, when short winter days bring little sun, people suffer from increased depression. Let's admit it: Sunshine feels good and makes us feel good. The sun's warming rays are responsible for life on earth the sun's heat people wouldn't exist.
But the sun is a fickle friend, which can do considerable damage if you are not no your guard. The trick is to learn to enjoy the sun without letting it harm you. Plants use the sun for growth, but do we? In reality, someone eating a severely vitamin
deficient diet would require about 20 minutes of sun exposure each day for their skin to synthesize vitamin D. with, the exception of those in very underdeveloped countries and people who "survive" on junk food, everyone gets sufficient vitamin D from their normal diet. Physiologically, therefore, we do not need the sun. Virtually all the other effects of exposure to the sun are damaging, especially to our skin and eyes. That is why simple rubs of sun safety should be a vital part of everyone's daily fitness routine. Sun safety is as important as exercise and diet to maintain both good health and an attractive appearance.
