Prevent Breast Cancer with ciplukan Plants

Prevent Breast Cancer - Ciplukan plant, a clump of plants that are easily found on the farm was able to prevent breast cancer. Plants with latin name Physallisa angulata L has cytotoxic effects and suppressed the growth of cancer cells in vitro.

Ciplukan contain "Fisalin compound" and "Withanolid" that was allegedly from the various reports containing anticancer activity. These plants also are cytotoxic in several cancer cells, could inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells MDA-MB 231, cell NCL-H23 lung adenocarcinoma, leukemia cells, and have anthihepatoma activity of human hepatoma cells Hep G2, Hep 3B, and PLC/PRF/5.

"From research conducted, confirm if ciplukan has the potential to be developed as an agent kemopreventif," said Ameilinda Monikawati on the campus of the University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta, on Wednesday (12/01/2010).

Benefits of these plants proved to inhibit breast cancer cells after the extract used. Extracts obtained from processing the "fruit ciplukan" which has eliminated the root.
